With a new single on the radio and a new album in the works, country
superstar Tim McGraw heads back out on the road with McMahon and the rest
of the Dancehall Doctors for this summer's "Tim McGraw and The Dancehall
Doctors OUT LOUD Summer Tour 2004."
The tour kicks off in Virginia Beach, Virginia on June 11 and is scheduled
to stop in roughly 33 cities across the country.
Country duos the Warren Brothers and Big & Rich will fill the opening
spots. "Brett and Brad [Warren] are old friends of ours; they've been
out with us a lot, and it's always a blast!" said keyboardist McMahon.
"I've known Big & Rich from Nashville, but I've never seen them onstage.
If the stories are true, this tour is gonna be a real ride!"
McGraw and his boys have also been hard at work on their new album, due
in stores on August 31. Following the success of his last album, Tim
McGraw and the Dancehall Doctors, the superstar elected to go back
into the studio with his road band instead of studio players for his upcoming
album release. The debut single, "Live Like You Were Dyin'," has just
been released to radio. "We are all chompin' at the bit to get some of
the new songs out," said McMahon. "It will still be a while before the
album's completed, but it's time to take some of the songs onstage and
share them with the fans."
If last year’s tour is any indication, the boys are in for
a stellar summer. McGraw’s “One Band Show” tour took
in more than $30 million in ticket sales. Tim and his boys performed for
over 600,000 fans, and Country Music Today magazine recognized
them as one of their “Top 10 Concert Tours of 2003.”
